I’ve noticed that more “writers” follow me, with only like 2 articles, but following 1.4k people and only have 70 followers. It’s a joke. I’m not a prolific writer and so it makes me think they just follow random writers in the hope that they get more followers, increased reach and more claps. Maybe they are legitimately following me because they like my writing. But I can’t help thinking that they are just trying to game the system. They realise they can make money. It’s basically just human nature to do this and jump on some new way to make money online, so I’m not angry. Ultimately I feel this is contributing to taking the quality down.
